February Energy Outlook
The word “trying” comes up immediately as I feel into this month’s energy. The context is that February may be a trying month for us. And perhaps that isn’t unexpected as we’re working through what are, hopefully, the final pushbacks of the pandemic.
However well we’ve handled the past 11 months, the cumulative stress and uncertainty would lend itself to that “trying” descriptive. And yet…
The vision that rises suggests we might embrace optimism. I see a slightly droopy flower on the left, in shades of gray; above it, a rain cloud. On the right, however, is a bright sun and blue sky. And the sense is that the flower is moving into the sun, where it will reclaim its full expression of color.
What’s most striking about this vision is that the flower is moving into the sun, rather than the sun moving over the flower. It feels as though the flower is choosing to step out from under that rain cloud and into the sun.
(To be clear, flowers need both rain and sun. And yet, too much rain or sun results in a droopy flower.)
Of course, we’re the flower in this vision. We’re the one choosing to step into the sun because we’ve had more than enough of the gray clouds and rain, and we know it.
So, we do something about it.
Rather than just standing there waiting for rescue or deliverance, we motivate ourselves to step into the sunlight and bask in our own brilliance equally as we bask in its brilliance.
And that action says a lot about our own sense of empowerment. It also reflects the energy of February and of 2021 as a whole.
To the best of our ability, when we choose exercising our empowerment over giving away our power to external forces, we choose what’s best for us, when it’s best for us.
And that, in effect, is choosing what is for our highest and best; that which supports us both at the human and soul levels.
The energy for this month, then, “trying” as it may appear and be for us, offers us the opportunity to take action; to choose what’s best for us in a way that will serve us now and throughout the remainder of the year.
Step into the sunlight, sweet flower. It’s waiting for you. Blessed be.
