Interviewing Divination Decks? Why, Yes Please.

Interviewing Card Decks? Why, Yes, Please! ~ The Whys and Wherefores of Interviewing Oracle (and Tarot) Card Decks.

Interviewing divination cards is something that came to my attention during a recent Tarot live chat I watched. The idea of it lit up my imagination as much as it lit up my guides.Imagine my lack of surprise, then, when into my journal went a channeled notation about creating an interview series for oracle cards this month.

What's the purpose of interviewing card decks?

Mainly, to find out what they're best used for. For example, it could be a deck's ideal purpose is to speak to relationships, or to health, or to intuition, or... fill in the blank.

Another purpose (one that interests me more than any other, perhaps) is to discover what energy powers the cards. For example, it could be that a deck that resonates with wellness is powered by in-spirit doctors or by medicine men and women or by shamans.

Another purpose is to wonder who will best be served by the cards. For example, perhaps a certain deck lends itself better to men than women, or perhaps a deck is best used for those with experience in all things spiritual and intuitive.

And perhaps the most important purpose is, the interview can get us out of assumptions about a deck's usage. Just because a deck is "pretty" doesn't necessarily mean it's only for women, right?

It's a tantalizing idea, altogether, to interview card decks, and so that's exactly what I'll be doing this month.

And since my guides have pointed me specifically to oracle decks, that's what I'll focus on. I have 12 oracle card decks, so there'll be 12 interviews over the course of this month.

Won't that be fun?

Once we get started, and you see what questions my guides have formulated for these interview, perhaps you'll be inspired to interview your own oracle decks.

I'm hopeful that once we've completed this assignment, we'll go on to interview my Tarot decks, too. We'll see. :-)

What do you think of the idea of interview oracle card decks?

Blessings be.
