October 2017 Taught Me...

Closing the Book on 2017, December 26: October 2017 taught me… Seven of Cups from Everyday Witch Tarot by Deborah Blake and Elisabeth Alba.

October 2017 taught me choices are oftentimes a hindrance more than a help. (For me, of course.) There’s a bit of lyric from the song “On the Steps of the Palace” from Into the Woods that fits well here:

“Better run along home and avoid the collision. Though at home they don’t care, I’ll be better off there where there’s nothing to choose, so there’s nothing to lose. And then out of the blue, and without any guide, I know what my decision is, which is not to decide.”

There were a number of factors in play during this month which precluded choices. Even though my ego may have pouted over the lack of options from which to choose, my soul was quite content.

P.S. My hashtags here are worth a read. Things went “out of hand” after #1111, and it made me laugh and ask who was adding additional tags. Then, the signoff came. Holy crap.
